Staying Motivated

Make sure you are starting this new fitness regime for yourself. If you are making changes in your body to benefit other people, you will likely drop your new workout after six months. Here are some tips to help you get and stay motivated:

  • Create a support system: Your family will be honest. Your friends will challenge you. Tell both about your new goals, and have them remind you of your goals.
  • Get your family involved: We all know it is easier to stick to a diet if more people are doing it with you. Why not get your family involved? Get your family onto your new meal plan, and it will help you stay on track.
  • Check up: Keep a small journal to write in every 4 weeks. You will record your weight and your emotional state. Record how you feel, how your attitudes and feelings have changed over time, and also how your diet has changed. It is great to look back and see the progress you’ve made!
